How Can I Prevent Leaky Pipes in My Home?
If you have this problem, you can do several things. One thing you should do is investigate the water pressure. The ‘safe zone’ is 30-50 psi for the water pressure. If the water pressure is more than 60 psi for a long time, then that will likely lead to a problem. How Should I Check if I Have a Leak or Not?
If you suspect you might have a leak but not certain where it is, here is an easy way you can find out. Go to your water meter, examine and right down the level. Make sure nobody is using any water in your home for an hour or two. Now go back and look at the level. If the water level is different, then you most certainly have a leak. Are There Things That Shouldn’t Be Put in My Garbage Disposal?
Of course. Ensuring your garbage disposal is working efficiently is important.
In order to maximize the life of your garbage disposal, these items shouldn’t be placed in your garbage disposal:
- Potato skins
- Bone fragments and eggshells
- Banana peels
- Fats / grease
- Unpopped popcorn kernels
- Onion skins
- Fruit pits and seeds
- Stringy vegetables like asparagus and celery
